Robert Daniel Gravatt, 96, of the Clarksburg section of Millstone Township passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016, at the home of his daughter, Harriet Metrosky, in Monroe, NC. A lifelong resident of Millstone Township, he was born June 8, 1919, son of the late Robert and Lily Test Gravatt. Mr. Gravatt will be remembered as a man who lived a quiet peaceful life who loved his family. He loved his fancy chickens and peacocks, reading, cars and motorcycles; in later years, nature and being outside. Mr. Gravatt was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 73 years, Florence Davis Gravatt, who survives.

He is also survived by his daughter, Harriet Metrosky; two sons, Daniel R. Gravatt and wife, Penny, and John C. Gravatt and wife, Ellen; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Charles Gravatt; and sisters, Jennie Boyle and Evelyn Zarges.

Funeral services will be held on Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the United Presbyterian Church of Millstone followed by interment at the church cemetery. Visitation will be held at the church one hour before services.
