Robert Newell Obituary
AGE: 50 • Hazlet
Robert M. Newell, 50, of Hazlet, passed away on January 22, 2015. Born in Brooklyn, he was formerly of Staten Island before moving to Hazlet 12 years ago. He was a retired NY Police Officer for 16 years before his retirement and was currently working as a court security officer for the US Federal Court House in NYC for the past 12 years. He was a member of the NYPBA & a communicant of Holy Family Church, Union Beach. He was predeceased by his father Norman Joseph Newell in 1985. Surviving is his wife of 8 years, Lauren; his children Connor & Dakota; his mother, Theresa Newell, Staten Island; his sister Lynn & John Vinci, Scotch Plains & his brother Joseph & Debbie, Long Island, NY. Family and friends are invited to visit on Monday, January 26th from 2 to 4 & 6 to 9 PM at the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3269 State Rt. 35 N., Hazlet. Mass of Christian Burial, Tuesday, January 27th, 9:30 AM, Holy Family R.C. Church, Union Beach. Cremation will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bobby Newell's two children. Please make checks payable to: "Lauren Newell as Trustee for Connor and Dakota Newell."
