Robert Woardell Obituary
AGE: 69 • Brick
Robert E. Woardell, 69, of Greenbriar II, Brick, passed away, Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at home attended by his family. Born in Paramus, to the late Elmer and Doris Woardell, he was raised there and in 1982 moved to Point Pleasant. He has lived in Brick since 2007. He graduated from Paramus High School and Farleigh Dickenson University.
"Captain Bob," a former accountant, later worked as a self-employed boat captain, served as First Mate of The Dauntless, Point Pleasant Beach, and also was employed by Briggs Transportation. All from which he acquired many wonderful friends. He was a former member of the Waldwick Lions Club and the Paramus Elks Lodge. Surviving are his beloved wife, of forty-five years, Patricia Mazurek Woardell; son, Robert Woardell and his wife Rachel of Point Pleasant; daughters, Jennifer Griggs and her husband David of Brick and MaryJane Garibay and her husband Brian of Wall; six loving grandchildren, Matthew, Allison, Ryan, Tara, Austin, and Amanda; his uncle, Cal Candisky; and several cousins.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm 7-9 pm, Monday, Dec. 2 at the Pable Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Rd., At 10 am., Tuesday, Dec. 3 a service will be held, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan. Mr. Woardell was a great man and will be missed by so many especially his family. I hope his family will find solace in knowing how much he loved them and would do anything for them. May he rest in peace.
