Rachel Scialfa Woardell, a beloved mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of love and dedication. Born and raised in Oakhurst, Rachel moved to Point Pleasant after graduating from Kean College, where she built a life filled with family and service. Rachel retired from the Ocean County Sheriff's Department, where she served with commitment and pride. She was a devoted mother to her two children, Austin Woardell and Amanda Woardell, and a loving companion to her loyal dog, Onyx. Her warmth and strength touched the lives of many.
She is survived by her children, Austin and Amanda Woardell; her mother, Lynn Shaheen Fileccia; her father, Charles Scialfa; her sister, Jessica Lawlor; her brother-in-law, Tim Lawlor; her nephews, Tim Lawlor and Ryan Lawlor; her stepfather, Steven Fileccia, Sr.; and a wide circle of family and friends who will miss her dearly.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Fiore-Buckley Funeral Home, 236 Monmouth Road in Oakhurst, Ocean Township. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Rachel's life.

Rachel will be missed by many! My condolences to Austin and Amanda, her parents and Jess and Tim and their kids
