AGE: 49 POINT PLEASANT
Robert A. Wright, 49, of Point Pleasant, passed away Monday, Oct. 18, 2010, at Ocean Medical Center, Brick, with his loving family at his side. Robert was a self-employed general contractor in the Shore area for his entire working career before retiring due to his illness. Born in Fayetteville, N.C., he was a lifelong resident of Point Pleasant. He was a graduate of and a renowned wrestler at Point Pleasant Boro High School. He was also an avid saltwater fisherman.
Predeceased by his father, William Wright, he is survived by his son, Christopher Wright, at home; his mother, E. Jean Jones Wright of Boynton Beach, Fla.; his sister, Deborah Wright of Point Pleasant and her companion, Steven Pilatowski and her daughter, Alyssa Wright; his brother, William Wright and his wife Meghan of Queenstown, Md. and their daughter, Jessica Wright; his sister, Lisa Farley and her husband Kevin of Brick and their daughters, Jordan and Madison Farley; his former wife, Diane of Brick; and his three stepchildren, Antoinette, Christina, and Antonio. Also surviving are a large loving group of friends and family.
Relatives and friends are invited to call from 10 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21 until the time of the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 505 Burnt Tavern Road, Brick. Committal will private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the Wright family is requesting donations to establish a scholarship for his son, Christopher's future educational endeavors. Kindly make check payable to E.
