Roberta Ann Daniele (nee Stankowski), a resident of Bayville, passed away peacefully at home, with her family by her side, on Wednesday, May 4, 2011 after fighting a long battle with breast cancer. Roberta was born in Wallington, NJ; she grew up in East Rutherford, and lived in Eatontown for over 25 years with her husband and children before relocating to Bayville where she enjoyed living by the water for the past 5 years. For over 30 years Roberta was the office manager at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport where she compassionately helped so many through their saddest times. Of the things that mattered the most to Roberta, was spending time with her family and friends. She will always be remembered as one who cared immensely for others and as an inspiration for those battling cancer.

Devoted daughter of the late Walter and Mary (nee Andrey) Stankowski; she was the beloved wife of Aurelio (Ray) Daniele for 42 years; loving mother of James A. Daniele and Laura R. Marchante and her husband Yosuan; and caring aunt of Christopher Daniele and Myla Daniele.

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 6 from 4 - 8 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.), Long Branch. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 7 at 10:30 am with the service to begin at 11 am at the funeral home. A committal service will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport.
