Sadie Guarino Obituary
Toms River
Sadie R. Guarino (nee Pezzino), of Toms River, formerly of Montclair, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015, surrounded by family and caregivers. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph and many brothers and sisters. She and Joe owned a grocery store in Newark until 1970 and afterwards she proudly passed her civil service exam and worked for the DMV in Wayne. She is survived by her 5 children, Maryann Adubato, Dr. Ralph Guarino, Dr. Vito Guarino, Dr. Susan Guarino and Dr. Joseph Guarino. Sadie is also survived by her sister, Teresa Metsopulis and many loving nieces and nephews. She had a strong devotion to St. Jude and the Blessed Mother. Sadie was fun loving and her happiest times were when she was with her family including her 14 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was given the joyful news of twin great-grandchildren arriving in July. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 6, 2015 at the Quinn-Hopping Funeral Home, 26 Mule Road, Toms River. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015 at St. Maximilian Kolbe R.C. Church in Berkeley Township. Mausoleum entombment will follow at St. Maximilian Kolbe Church Christ the King Catholic Mausoleum in Berkeley Township. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.quinn-hoppingfh.com.

I was so very sorry to hear about Aunt Sadie--she was a very special lady- I will always remember her gentle way and her heart felt laugh!! She is at peace and will continue to watch over her family from her place in heaven.
