Sal was a true entrepreneur and a first class host and entertainer. He was also very generous to many organizations in Monmouth Beach. He will be sorely missed. My deepest sympathies to his family.

Sincerest Condolences to the family. In the 60's my group of friends were frequent visitors to the Candy Cane Lounge in Asbury Park. We danced to live bands and had one heck of a good time. It was open around the same time as the Peppermint Lounge was in New York City. I also frequented the Monmouth Beach mart on the corner of Riverdale and Beach Road when I lived in Monmouth Beach. Great food prepared fresh at the deli counter, especially the eggplant slices. Sorry to see his life cut short but his family will have wonderful memories to sustain them.
Regards, Carol Nannini
