Saverio Clarizio, entered into eternal life, on Wednesday, June 24, 2009. Born in Sannicandro di Bari, Italy, Saverio was an entrepreneur, having founded John Clarizio & Sons Millwork, and other businesses in expert carpentry following in the tradition of his Grandfather Vito, and his father Giovanni. He also established several retail food stores in Newark and Bloomfield, NJ and also owned and managed commercial and residential real estate property.
Saverio was the beloved husband of Pasqua Clarizio (Desimini), loving father of Giovanni and Gaetano Clarizio and Anna Medeiros, and dear Grandfather of Elena, Rebecca, Alec and Gianna. He is predeceased by his father, Giovanni; mother, Anna; three brothers, Vito, Raffaele, Pasquale, and one sister, Filomena. Saverio will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Friends and family may call at Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Rt. 9, Bayville, NJ. Viewing will be on Friday, June 26, from 2-4 p.m., then 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Saturday morning, June 27, followed by internment at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Toms River.
