Sophia Bryce Obituary

(Asbury Park Press)

SOPHIA MICHAEL BRYCE
HOWELL
Our beloved Sophia Michael was stillborn but born still at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch on Monday, Sept. 15. To our precious little angel, we will never get over the image we had of our twin girls: what you would look like, who you would become. We wanted to watch you grow and share in all life had to offer. Although we will never get that chance, we want you to know that you will always be a part of our lives. You are our first born and you are Gabriella's sister. We will always cherish that. Grandpa will take care of you until Mommy and Daddy meet up with you again. Until then, please know that you are loved and thought of every single day. A special thanks to Sheryl Dwyer and Cynthia Famularo of the labor and delivery ward at Monmouth Medical. We will be forever grateful for their help and support during such a bittersweet time.
Surviving are her parents, Steven and Jacqueline Bryce, as well as her twin sister, Gabriella Sophia. Sophia has also left behind grandparents Bill and Effie Hubner of Keyport and Patricia Bryce of Leonardo; as well as many loving aunts, uncles and cousins.
A private memorial service will be held at Fairview Cemetery on Tuesday. This was Sophia and Gabriella's original due date. This date also marks the anniversary of the passing of Stephen Bryce, grandpa.

Something brought me to look for your name today. Maybe I need a good cry? Maybe I'm reflecting on how busy our weekend was with sports and imagining a 4th child in that mix? Daddy and I imagine that all the time. How incredible it would be!! I had to miss Gabriella's 2nd game so I could get Adrianna to her game. Even though I would be back for her 3rd, I hated leaving her. Everyone said she pitched so well. She always does amazing when I leave :-) Perhaps that's you stepping in in my absence? Thank you xo God, how I wish you were here :-( ...

Angel Sophia - ever since your Mom told me she was having twins girls I imagined how everything would be. My sister was so full of joy and could not believe she was finally blessed with a baby but 2 girls at that... I was so elated and told your cousin right away. During the coming monthes we were all planning your arrival and so excited at that ...
When I got the phone call from Grandma that you had passed I was and still devastated. On September 15,2008 when you and your sister were born I was there wanting to hold you with open arms but I was feeling like I was just having a bad dream when you were just laying still. The touch of your cold skin and soft tiny little hands were all I had to imagine how you would have looked. I just wanted to hold you and hold you hoping you would awake but you were already gods little angel . I was so angry that you were taken away like that especially from your loving parents & little sister.I can't help but still sob and wimper over the loss of you. You will always be terribly missed !
Please know your sister Gabriella is doing just wonderful as you probably already know and your parents are doing the best they can day to day missing you in their lives.
There are alot of our loved ones up there that will watch you until one of us can be with you ! We love you with all our hearts !
I love you - Aunt Katie

Sophia,
We all miss you, we all love you. You knew the love of your mother for those wonderful 8 months, and I looked on so happy knowing that you and your sister would have two of the most wonderful people as your parents. Unfortunately, you were never able to physically feel that love. But I know that you feel it, Sophia. I know that you know that your mommy and daddy love you so very much. I know that you're laughing up in heaven, waiting for your family to join you forever.
I feel you in your sister, and I know that you'll protect and comfort her when mommy and daddy can't. By leaving us, you gave us all the chance to love and appreciate your sister Gabriella that much more.

We will never forget you, we will all love you forever.

Sophia, I never had a chance to hold you in my arms and say goodbye. I never had a chance to tell you that I love you. You will always be in my heart and I will always have this beautiful vision of you. I love you with all my heart.

To my dearest granddaughter, Sophia
If only God had listened to me, I would be in heaven and you would be here. But He is a very picky person. At this time in life he did not want a grouchy old man, He instead wanted a beautiful angel to brighten up all his followers he left here on earth which includes your Mom and Dad, Gabrella, your both Grandmas, so many Aunts and Uncles & cousins and many caring persons that you will not meet until they are sitting on that cloud 9 telling you stories. You will always be in my heart, my precious. I will look over sis, Mom & Dad for you
Until we meet at Saint Peters Gates, that is if you let me in, I LOVE YOU
