Stephanie Barrett Obituary
AGE: 88 • Iselin
Stephanie Barrett (Lyszczek) passed away peacefully at home Wednesday December 10th surrounded by her loving family.
She worked as a teller for National State Bank for 15 years retiring 18 years ago. Steffie was a parishioner for 64 years of the St Cecelia's RC Church, Iselin; an active participant of the church alter rosary society, and a member of the alter rosary society bowling league, St Cecelia's Seniors Club and the Iselin AARP. She was a Girl Scout troop leader for the St Cecelia's Raritan Valley council for many years and an honorary member of Woodbridge Township Ambulance and Rescue squad. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and baking chocolate chip cookies but most importantly spending time with family and friends. She will be sadly missed by many.
Mrs. Barrett was predeceased by her husband Edward J. Barrett (1999) her parents Andrew and Aniela Lyszczek, her brothers Frank, Chester, Walter and Edward Lyszczek her sisters Bertha Baldyga, Emily Drodzdiuk, Dorothy and Helen Lyszczek.
Surviving are her children Edward F. Barrett and his wife Joan of Colonia and Steven M Barrett and his wife Terri of Carrollton, TX and Deborah A Fanning and her husband Don of Rahway, 5 grandchildren Edward J, Lauren, Nicole, Biancia and Haley, great-granddaughter Veronica, her brother Matthew Lyszczek and his wife Blanche of Lakewood and her sister Sophie Lyszczek of Linden. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, December 12th 2PM- 4PM and 7PM-9PM at the Gosselin Funeral Home 660 New Dover Road Edison. Funeral Services Saturday, December 13th 9:00AM at the funeral home followed by a 10:00 AM Mass at St Cecelia's RC Church Iselin. Entombment St. Gertrude Cemetery, Colonia.
