Stephen McGovern Obituary
Middlesex - In Loving Memory of Stephen John McGovern, 59, of Middlesex, NJ, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021.
Born in Jersey City, NJ, to the late Paul & Pauline (nee Sicola) McGovern, Stephen grew up in Dunellen and also lived in Somerset before moving to Middlesex, NJ 15 years ago. He served our country in the 80's with the United States Army; He started his own House painting / Handyman Co. which he proudly ran and serviced his community for over 20 years.In his spare time Stephen was an avid NY Giants fan and enjoyed taking long road trips with his daughter Jillian exploring up and down the East coast.
Stephen is predeceased by his Beloved wife, Susan D. McGovern (nee Bowden) , parents, Paul & Pauline McGovern. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Jillian McGovern, and his three brothers, Michael, Paul, and David. Stephen is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He will be missed by all who knew him.
A Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 11, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Ruby Memorial Funeral & Cremation Services, 2050 Rt. 130 in North Brunswick, NJ 08902. Funeral Service and Cremation will take place immediately after at 1 p.m. at The Crematory Chapel at Holy Cross Burial Park, 840 Cranbury South River Road (County Rd. 535) in East Brunswick, NJ.
