Thelma Cullen Obituary
AGE: 88 • Hazlet
Thelma I. Cullen, 88, of Hazlet passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 at Care One, Holmdel. Born in Keyport, she lived in West Keansburg before moving to Hazlet 65 years ago. She was a Sunday School Teacher at St. John's United Methodist Church and a member of the Hazlet Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.
Thelma was predeceased by her husband, James Joseph Cullen; her parents, Gordon and Mable Walling; and her sister, Muriel Ferrari. She is survived by her children, James T. Cullen of Hazlet; Christopher Cullen and his wife Cynthia of Hazlet; Nancy Johansen of Orlando FL; Robert Cullen and his wife Nancy of Hazlet; and Jill Mosera and her husband Al of Hazlet; a sister, June Cahill of Middletown; her grandchildren, Rachel, Timothy, Rebecca, Jeannine, Christopher, Adam, Danielle, John, Jason, Joshua, Kristen, Robert, Patricia, Kimberly, Megan, Katie and Jamie; and her great grandchildren, Maxwell, Ella, Isiah, Aaron, Christian, Claudia, Aine, Sean, Kylie, Wyatt, Brendan, Austin, James and Brandon.
Family and friends are invited Tuesday, May 24th, 2011, from 2-4 & 7-9PM at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport; and Wednesday, May 25th, 2011, 10AM at the funeral home, with an 11AM service at St. John's United Methodist Church, Hazlet. What an honor it has been to know Thelma. A true lady at all times. Her family will miss her so very much. We are grateful that her great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Ella and all the others, got to know Nanny.
