Thomas Grogan Obituary
Tinton Falls - Thomas P. Grogan, 76, of Tinton Falls passed away Sunday, April 11, 2021 peacefully at home surrounded by loving family. Thomas was born in Manhattan, NY and resided in Hell's Kitchen, New York City, before moving to Middletown, NJ with his wife and two children. Thomas had been a Teamster with Local 807 for 40 years before retiring with his wife to Tinton Falls, NJ in 2012.
Thomas will be long remembered for his generosity, his ever-present smile, and his larger than life personality. Those of us that were able to enjoy his hot dog onions will never forget them…we all love TGOs!
Thomas is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Joyce Grogan of Tinton Falls; his son, Thomas E. Grogan of Middletown; his daughter & son-in-law, Dorothy & James Anderson of Tinton Falls; his sister & brother-in-law, Anne & Angelo Pacifico; 6 loving grandchildren, Shane, James, Alivia, Angelica, Kenny, & Christian, whom he adored; and many beloved nieces and nephews. Thomas is predeceased by his sisters Ellen Duke, Gertrude Murray, & Jane Heid; his brother, Richard Grogan; and his mother, Gertrude Grogan.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 15, 2021 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home 115 Tindall Rd., Middletown. A funeral Liturgy will be offered on Friday, April 16 at 10 am at St. Mary, Mother of God R.C. Church 19 Cherry Tree Farm Rd., Middletown. Cremation will be private.
