Thomas Padovano Obituary
AGE: 65 • North Brunswick
Thomas J. Padovano, 65, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2015, at his home with his loving family. He was born in New Brunswick and raised in Edison before moving to North Brunswick in 1986.Thomas was the owner of Fords Mill Supply in Fords.
He was predeceased by his Mother Elaine Kostka Padovano. Thomas was survived by his wife Valerie Shanahan; his daughter Cara Padovano of Edison; his son Michael Padovano and his wife Kathy L of North Brunswick; his granddaughter Sophia Padovano; his father Albert Padovano; his siblings Elena and Ed Wiechowski, Carl and Nancy Padovano, Alan Padovano and Mary Anne Pederson, Richard and Donna Padovano, Elise and Charles Konsulis, Mary Jo and John Clemente, Anita and Thomas Bartolone, Daniel Padovano and Sandra Guzman, Michelle and Donald Shapiro along with many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Thursday, August 6, 2015, at 10 am at St. Mary Mount Virgin RC Church in New Brunswick. Cremation will be private. Arrangements are under the direction of the Boylan Funeral Home, 188 Easton Avenue in New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Thomas's favorite charities. The Salesian Missions (www.salesianmissions.org) or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (www.stjude.org.)

I think of Tom often and I remember so many of Tom's stories as well the many wonderful times I had in Tom's company. Two of my favorite "Tom Stories" was the story about the Asian guy who came into the hardware store and started asking Tom about "screen". You know, different types of screen that you can purchase to repair your door and window screens. The 2nd favorite story was "the righteous white dude" story when Tom, out of the goodness of his heart, stopped to help a stranded motorist in the middle of a snow storm on Route 18, just outside of New Brunswick. These two stories were among my favorites of the many wonderful Tom stories. And if you were a friend of Tom's, you know exactly how these two stories were told and how they ended. I miss my friend Tom but I am so ever grateful for wonderful times that I shared with him. He was truly one of kind! Walt Kocubinski 07/29/21
