Timothy C. Eckner

Palm Bay, FL. - Tim Eckner, 63, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2018. Surrounded by his loving family.

Tim is survived by Annemarie, his wife of 45 years, his daughter Christine Fetyko (john sweatland) and his son Tim (Christina) and by his beloved grandchildren Emily, Steven, Nicholas, Kaitlynn. Tim is survived by brothers James Eckner (LA), George (Mary-NYC) and sister Mary Nemec (Bill-NJ) brother-ln-law Harold E. Burrows (Linda-Cape Coal) mother-in-law AnneMarie W. Burrows (Palm Bay,FL), great uncle and aunt Ernest H. Wiegeshas (Connie Wisconsin) and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by is parents George and Mary Eckner, brother John Eckner, sister Elizabeth (Betsy) Eckner and sister in law Irene Eckner.

Tim was born in Teaneck NJ, and grew up in Richfield Park NJ and Freehold NJ. He graduated from Freehold Twp Regional High School -1972 and married Annemarie Burrows the same year. Tim had a great sense of humor, loved to laugh and had a gentle soul. He loved life. Tim worked at PCI in Eatontown NJ for 25 years. When he moved to Lakewood he joined the Lakewood Fire department, Rescue Company #2, as a devoted volunteer and over the course of 22 years served in various line officers positions and was Captain from 1994-1996, he left the Fire Dept in 2003.

Tim and his wife Annemarie relocated to Palm Bay, Fla. In 2002, where he worked for Piper Aircraft until his retirement in 2013.

A celebration of the life of Tim "HONK HONK" Eckner will be scheduled at a later date.
