Timothy Wayne Grant

Timothy Wayne Grant, 58, of Rockingham, North Carolina, formally of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Friday, September 22, 2017.

Tim married the love of his life, Rebecca Peterson, in 1988. Over the years, Tim's work had them living in Colorado, Arkansas and Georgia. They raised 3 beautiful children together, until Rebecca's untimely death in 2005. Tim went on to receive his Bachelor's Degree in Business from Kishwaukee College in 2010. Tim enjoyed, his only granddaughter, his family and friends, golf, studying the Bible, reading, gardening and being a rebel.

Tim is survived by his children, Samuel Grant of Chicago, Amber Grant of DeKalb, Ashley Grant of Woodridge; granddaughter, Adriana of DeKalb; his mother, Betty (James) Patrick of Batavia; his grandfather, John T. Grant Sir of Rockingham; his sister, Patricia (David) Flowers of DeKalb; his brother, James (Christine) Patrick of DeKalb; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and friends.

Tim is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca; and his grandmother, Margret Grant, both in 2005.

A Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2017 at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb. Burial services will be private.
