Uncle Eugene, I am sorry. It was always fun to see Aunt Verna and everyone when visiting Nana and Pop in Manasquan.

When I think back to my childhood in Manasquan, one constant in that memory was the Leahy family. Mrs. Leahy was a big part of that time with her help, guidance, and humor. I hope that someday, a grown up child can remember me in the same way that I feel about her.
I am a better person for knowing her and her family. Come St. Patrick's Day, I will raise a toast to her for being a positive role model and a big influence on my life.

Gene, I was saddened to learn of Verna's passing. I know my life was made better over the years by simply sharing a bit of time with Verna and you at family gatherings. My heart felt condolences for your loss.

Uncle Eugene, I am sorry. Aunt Verna always had a big smile and hug for me whenever I saw her at Nana's or when making the journey to the Finger Lakes.

When I would visit Nana Helen, Aunt Verna would take us to the fabric store and help me pick out remnants to make doll's clothes with. She was always happy and friendly.

Gene, I'm so sorry to hear of your wife's passing. I lost my husband 2 years ago and there is quite an adjustment but time does help. I've keep in touch by receiving e-mails from Smokey Smock that originated from you. Harriet Thompson formerly of 1223 Minnesink Rd now So Carolina
