Virginia Becker Obituary
AGE: 85 • Forked River
Virginia "Joan" Becker (nee Selleck), age 85, of Forked River, died on June 1, 2013 at Tallwoods Care Center, Bayville. Born in North Arlington and formerly of Totowa and Randolph, she moved to Forked River in 1994. She had a long tenure with the Morris County Courthouse, was a Girl Scout leader in Totowa and a member of the Forked River Tuna Club Woman's Club and a member of the Red Hat Society and greatly enjoyed traveling.
Surviving are her husband of 66 years, Arthur W. Becker, two sons, Arthur E. Becker and his wife Joann of Manahawkin, Bob Becker and his wife Caroline of Waretown; daughter, Carol J. Becker of West Creek; five grandchildren, Brett Becker (Catherine), Wesley Becker (Allison), Kristin Rauschenbach (Christopher), Andrea Klockner (Andrew), and Emily Becker (Tim); and three great-grandchildren, Lucas, Emma and Tristan.
A viewing will be held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9pm at Riggs Funeral Home, 130 North Route 9, Forked River. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 6 at 10 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans in North Hanover. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Forked River Tuna Club Scholarship Fund, PO Box 917, Forked River, NJ 08731.

I am still driving the Becker's "Black Beauty"- their beautiful 2011 Ford Fusion- it has 103,000 miles on it. I will never forget the day Mrs. Becker said she would sell me the car. I feel like they ride with me where ever I go. And right now, (May to July 2023) Black Beauty is touring Alaska and the Yukon territory with me!
