Ah, Uncle Bill. Can it really be a whole year since you left this world? You haven’t missed much. We are coming on a full year of a pandemic which stopped the world in its tracks. You would have been annoyed. No visitors and complete lockdown. You are missed. Rest In Peace.

Rest In Peace, Uncle Bill. Thank you for your service in World War II. It was not until last year that I learned about the horror of war that you experienced after reading about what happened to you and your shipmates on the USS Laffey. Thank you for marrying Aunt Lil and having five beautiful children. Thank you for being there for Mary Lou and I when our father died. Thank you for being you! Rest In Peace.....

May peace and comfort bless the Kelly Family at this time. Have a Navy Story to share :
My father , Paul Capobianco and Bill were in the USNavy together. All the way from Belmar to the South Pacific they kept in touch. One time their ships were in close proximity to each other so they decided to disembark via row boat and say hello on the sea. As they began to disembark the Japanese began an assault so they never got to shake hands in the Pacific but we Thank you for your service .
RIP , Bill
With our sincere condolences,

Our prayers and sincere condolences to the Kelly Family from the Capobianco Family.
One of my father, Paul's favorite Navy stories he shared about he and Bill :
All the way from Belmar to the South Pacific serving their country my father , Paul and Bill were on their navy ships protecting freedom. Their ships were in close proximity to each other so Paul and Bill decided to get off their ships and row to see each other. As they were disembarking from their ships the Japanese were beginning an assault so they had to redirect their rowing back to their ships. We thank them for their service . RIP Bill.

I know that he served on the "ship that would not die" but Bill was the man who would not give up. When I first met him many years ago, he was told that he would never walk again. Through a lot of very hard work and with unbelievable determination, he walked for many more years. He lived life on his terms and would not take no for an answer. His life motto was the same as his ship. It was an honor and a pleasure to have known him and been a part of his life.
