William D. Kennedy, Jr.

Tinton Falls - William D. Kennedy, Jr. passed away peacefully on July 14, 2021 in his home in Tinton Falls, New Jersey. Bill, as he was known by his family and friends, was born on March 16, 1935 in Brooklyn, New York to the late William D. Kennedy, Sr. and Jannette Schuman Kennedy.

Bill graduated from Georgetown University in 1952 and went on to run his father's business in hoisting and lifting equipment. Bill loved living in his Sutton Place apartment while he worked in the city and upon retiring in 1984, he moved back to his family's home in Tinton Falls, NJ. Bill loved to take cruises and Bermuda was his favorite destination giving him the nickname of "Bermuda Bill". Bill was also a lifetime member of the Red Bank Elks Club.

Bill is survived by his brother, Bruce P. Kennedy, Sr. (Annette), niece, Suzanne Kerner, nephews, Bruce P. Kennedy, Jr. and Jay Kennedy, grandnephews, Andrew Kerner and Alex Kennedy, grandniece, Gillian Kerner and dear friend Maureen LaPare.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021, from 12 - 4pm at the John P. Condon Funeral Home at 804 State Highway 36, Leonardo, New Jersey. Please join the family in remembering Bill.
