William Murphy Obituary
AGE: 74 • Whiting
William James Murphy, 74, of Whiting, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016 at home surrounded by family. He was a Naval Auditor for the Department of Defense in Philadelphia who travelled extensively for 30 years, retiring in 2002. He loved to travel, was an avid sports fan and was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton RC Church. Born in Denton, MD., he resided in Bordentown for many years and in Toms River before moving here in 2006.
William is survived by his wife of 40 years, Charlotte nee Hagin Murphy and his daughters, Tracey Ann Upright & her husband Daniel, and Terrie Lynn Valeri & her husband D.J. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Christina Matera, Michael Valeri, Catherine Valeri, and Elizabeth Valeri.
Friends may call on Saturday, April 9 from 9:30-10am with Services beginning at 10am from the Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, 115 Lacey Rd. Whiting, NJ 08759. Committal will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Manahawkin. Arrangements under the direction of Anderson & Campbell Funeral Home, Whiting, NJ.

We would love to give our prayers and condolences to Charlotte Murphy and all her family with the loss of Bill.So many wonderful memories my husband and I carry in our hearts.We were very close and dear friends for many years.It was always the four of us,sharing so many wonderful times together Bill was not just a wonderful person,but a very good friend,loving and devoted husband to his wife Charlotte,as well as a wonderful father,and grandfather.Bill will be deeply missed by all who new and loved him.We know Bill is with the angels,and he will always be watching over his loving family,especially his wife Charlotte who was the love of his life and so devoted to her as Charlotte was to Bill Rest in peace our dearest friend.you will be deeply missed,but never forgotten.Love your friends Carol and Frank Montervino
