William Schelpf Obituary

William W. Schelpf

William W. Schelpf, 69, of Neptune, passed away on Monday, January 2, 2017 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center.

Bill was born in Neptune and resided by the Jersey Shore his entire life. He graduated from Ocean Township High School in 1965 and enlisted in the US Navy. He served four years on the John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. Upon discharge, he joined the Ocean Township Police Department-following his father's footsteps. Bill left the department after 10 years to become a small business owner. Ultimately, he retired as an owner-operator of an eighteen wheeler.

Bill was a loving husband, proud father and an avid fisherman. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Ann McGrath Schelpf in 2005 and his parents, William and Mabel Schelpf.

Surviving are his three adoring children, Amy, Colleen and Billy; his brother, Michael; and 7 grandchildren.

Service and interment will be private by the Fiore Funeral Home, Oakhurst, Ocean Township. For condolences, please visit www.fiorefuneralhomes.com.
