Amanda,Isaiah & Janice,
I will never forget andy he was such a great man, husband,& father. Always had something for all the many kids to do on our block from having them help out with projects in the gaurage or playing ball in the street! I can't remeber ever seeing anything but a smile on his face. I will never forget the day I came over & we were discussing how it would look with the kitchen wall out. I said "are there too many wires in it?" & his response was "i don't know, let's see" then proceeded to take a hammer & bust a hole right in the wall!!!!! he will be greatly missed by soooo many. Now we have a angel watching over us!!!!

Amanda: I was just seating in my house thinking about this beautiful weather. And how Andy you and the kids and i would play tennis and how Andy wanted to Challenger me all the time lol. We had so much fun he aways made me laugh.Andy was an awesome man he definitely makes a person fell better if you were sad he would make you happy and he was always good for a hug he was one of a kind.love you guys...

Amanda, I'm so so so sorry to hear about Andy's passing. I miss you guys ALL the time and think of you often. You know, Andy never knew a stranger and if he did, they weren't a stranger for long. He saw the good side of every situation and he made the best of even difficult situations. As I sit here and write and remember your family as it was, the lump fills my throat and tears well in my eyes for what we will all be missing. But as I look upon the pictures of your children, I see that he is deep in them. That his life is reflected in their eyes. That his joy is in the smiles on their faces. I know how you loved Andy. I KNOW how you loved him. And I know he loved you the same way. But don't be too sad, Amanda, for you got the best part of him for the biggest and most important times in his life... and yours. That is something special... that you got to have THAT man in YOUR life for as long as you did. I read an email not too long ago that says God brings us who we need, when we need them. He brought you Andy. And now it's time for Andy to bring you something else you need. Your independence, my friend. You can do this. And you know Andy would want you to make the best of the years you have ahead. You know you can call me ANY time and we can talk about anything. I love you, woman and everything is going to be ok... you'll see. You will always have Andy in your children! You are a VERY blessed woman!

To the Martinez Family my condolence, so sorry to hear the sad news of my dear Child hood friend whom I had great memories about growing up with went to Wilson Elem. school & Hosler Jr High & Lynwood high played football in high school & got to know his wonderful & atheletic family,lived up the street from him on Lewis st and we played after school in our block or in the elementary school ground,and a hella of basketball player his sis Anita, Yes he will be miss by family & friends but never forgotten in our hearts RIP Andy from your Dear friend Ruben Contreras

My condolences go to all of Commander Andy's family. He made a wonderful difference in my boys's lives, in both that he was my oldests Royal Rangers commander and that he was willing to take them so they could be involved in the church. I was truly sorry to hear that he has passed. Amanda, if you need anything, we live right around the corner, please dont hesitate to ask. Your husband gave his time for my kids and I appreciate the influence he was to them. God bless Andy for what he has done on Earth and be with his family in thier time of loss.

Very sorry for you'r lost, I got to know Andy when he would come and help work on the Dental Van of Sutter Co. He was a very sweet person, helpful and very cheerful. My deepest Condolences to you'r family.

Sorry for your loss. I was actually thinking of you guys a few weeks ago on a cold rainy day in Seattle. My fiance was yelling at me to put on pants instead of the cargo shorts I wanted to leave the house in. I told her the story of a guy I knew that never wore anything other than cargo shorts even on the coldest days in Germany. Good people are always remembered.

Andy was a man with a big heart, I knew him for all for the good on him, he was always giving someone help, he was alway there if needed. I remember Andy for that big smile that he always had, he is a very good, big heart full of love. Iam proud to han known and shared many good memories with Andy. My most sincere and heartfelt condolences to the entire Martinez Family.
As I type my message, I can’t stop thinking of the sooo many beautiful moments Andy and I spent in many stages, throughout of our lives. From Elementary to High School, then College, Semi-Professional soccer, and most recent early this year 2010. Even though we spent much of our adult life far from each other we felt as if we had spent our lives close all along, weather it was in a phone call or when he visited. Something Andy made possible because of his unselfish and unquestionable friendship. His charasmatic, loving, happy and optimistic personality made every moment of our friendship and my 6-brothers', sister, and my parent's; love him and cherish every moment we spend together.
Andy has engraved a message in my heart that I will hold forever. His take on life and how he lived it; issue-free, conflict-free and problem-free attitude, his passion for life, his humbleness and willing to help any and all in need, as well as his love for God and his family.
I shall not say my good-bys but will welcome him into a new life and know we will see each other soon. I will miss you dearly my brother.
