Crystal Collins Obituary

Crystal Lynn Collins, 70, passed away on February 1, 2025, in Roseville, CA.

Born on March 22, 1954, in Ogden, UT, Crystal dedicated her life to her family, her faith, and her career.

She worked for the Wheatland School District for 28 years. Her dedication and hard work were recognized when she received the Educator of the Year award in 2023.

She retired from the school district in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of commitment and care for the students and staff she served.

Crystal found immense joy in spending time with her husband, sister, children, and grandchildren. She had a deep love for nature and could often be found tending to her beautiful garden, taking long walks, or watching birds from her yard.

Her beloved cat, Gizmo, was always by her side. A woman of strong faith, she cherished attending Wheatland Community Fellowship and reading her Bible.

She is survived by her loving husband, of 50 years, Larry Collins; son, Jeffrey Collins; daughter, Jennifer Haymore; cherished grandchildren, Trevor Haymore, Caitlinn Haymore, and Claire Collins; beloved sister, and brother-in-law, Barbara and Gil Stresser; and nieces and nephews, Carolyn Comrey, Bethany Dillon, Matt Comrey, and Drew Stresser.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hal and Joan Comrey; brother, John Comrey; and nephew, Chris Comrey.

Crystal's kindness, compassion, and love touched many lives. While she will be deeply missed by family and friends alike, there is comfort in knowing she has been reunited with her parents and brother in Heaven.

Her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Larry, I am so saddened for you. Crystal was the dearest, sweetest, kindliest girl I ever knew. You two were blessed with 50 years of marriage and a wonderful family. Hold tight to them and all your memories. God bless and keep you.

Larry and family, so sorry to hear about Crystal's passing. She was such a wonderful person and loving member of First Reformed for so many years. It was always nice to you both. Our prayers are with you and may the God of all peace comfort you through Jesus Christ his dear son as you mourn her loss.

Crystal has always been a real gem! She changed the lives of countless students with her love and nurturing. I worked with her for years at the Wheatland District. She made the day brighter with her smile and genuine caring of everyone who was lucky enough to know her. I am so sorry she left so soon. What a real gift to our community. Thank you Crystal, for the joy you left with us.
Sending love and prayers to the family during this time.
