Dorothy Paquette Obituary

Dorothy "Dottie" Paquette, born September 29, 1940, passed away peacefully in her own home on August 14, 2018.

She was born in Wilburton, Oklahoma, and spent her childhood moving frequently throughout the West picking cotton and various other crops alongside her family, known as fruit tramps, colloquially. As an adult, she finished her high school diploma and later went on to start a successful business, Hub Area Cleaning Service, which she owned for over 20 years.

An early resident of Yuba-Sutter, she experienced three floods and great change. She was humble despite her unsurpassed skill in comfort food creations, her keen eye in sewing, and her love of quilting. Dorothy was a longtime member of the local Jehovah's Witnesses Congregation.

She was married for 35 years to Gene "Skip" Paquette.

She is survived by her son Chris, daughter Courtney, and grandchildren Britnie, Kaylen, and Jonathan. She is remembered by numerous siblings, nieces and nephews and a few endearing friends.

To honor Dorothy, the family requests that any gestures in memoriam be sent to Greater Sacramento ALS.
