Doyle Roberts Obituary
Doyle M. Roberts passed away at his home in Marysville, CA on May 19, 2014 with his family by his side.
Doyle was one of fourteen children born to Jacob and Nettie Muriel Roberts. Doyle was born August 21, 1932 in Bailey County, Texas. When he was very young he and his family moved to Arizona and came to settle in the Yuba Sutter area.
Doyle moved to Sacramento for awhile and raised his family. He returned to the Yuba Sutter area where he retired from Frito Lay as a delivery driver and finished his journey here.
Doyle had been active in the Marysville Elks Lodge for many years. He loved to put on steak and crab feeds and cook for large gatherings and his family and friends.
Doyle is preceded in death by his parents, Jake and Muriel; his brothers, Monte, Donnie, JQ, and Harold Wayne; and his sisters, Cleta McGrath, Mildred Scott, Nina Coats, and Billie Louise.
Doyle is survived by his daughters, Lea Ann Roberts of Yuba City and Penny (Dennis) Campbell of Washougal, Washington; a son, Monte Roberts of Marysville; 11 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; brother, Murice; and sisters, Wandell Christy, Joanne Miller, Betty Miller and Sandy Holsted; and by his long time friend and companion, Marilyn Tuttle.
The family invites you to join us in a Celebration of Life at the Elks Lodge, located at 920 D. Street, Marysville at 1:00 pm, Saturday May 31, 2014. Stassi's, located at 102 7th Street, Marysville will immediately follow with a wake for Doyle.
