She was the daughter of Henry and Erica Stocker. She graduated from Elk Grove High School and soon after took a job as secretary at the school.

Diane Fales (Jerry), Jerry Michel (Claudette), Margaret Taylor (Nick) and Steven Michel (Mary) all of Nicolaus. Eleanor was preceded in death by her husband, Leo; and son, Roger. She is survived by 12 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.

She loved gardening and volunteering for her community. She was the secretary for South Sutter Recreation Association and Nicolaus Cemetery for over twenty years. She was an active volunteer in South Sutter Senior Citizens, Marcum Mother's (Parents) Club and St. Boniface Altar Society. Eleanor was a member of the Sacramento Helvetia Verein Swiss Ladies for over 65 years.

I was so sad to hear of your mom´s passing. She was such an amazing lady, and did so much for the.Nicolaus community. I admired her enthusiasm, her thoughtfulness, kindness, and dedication to family and friends. I will never forget her coordinating all the food for my dad`s funeral. Going out of her way for others was certainly something she was known for. I know she will be greatly missed by all who loved her. My deepest condolences to all of you i´m so sorry that I won´t be able to come to her services tomorrow, but please know that all of you are in my prayers. Much love.

Growing up in the Nicolaus / Rio Oso/ Pleasant Grove area was a blessing. My age group had the opportunity to play little league, and all sports in East Nicolaus High school. In those days we actually worked and played sports. Eleanor and Leo were huge supporters of all sports and they both would recognize me as a person not just a kid. Through the years sharing a cocktail with them was a delight. The community has lost a cornerstone. Eleanor thanks for the support, the laughs and making this community what it is today! I hold my glass up and salute you! Cheers!

To Larry, Jerry, Margaret, and Steven. You had a super mother and I'll pray for you during this time of your grief. Your mother was a wonderful parent of all of you and supported you all during the time I coached and taught you.

Eleanor was a Jewel of a human! She was so much to so many!
I grew up with Eleanor right down the road! She was my neighbor and was always there to drive me around to events when I was a child. She helped pass the gift of helping others on to her children. As an adult I was able to tell Eleanor exactly what she meant to me. Going to her house and playing with my friend Margaret and Margaret´s 2 little brothers was pure joy! My dad would take fruit to share with Eleanor and the next day she would be walking up his sidewalk with a fruit cobbler! Eleanor also was a 4-H leader for teaching cooking. I still have my cookbooks from that time. She inspired many just with her example of service! Eleanor will always have a special place in my heart because she was a very special person in my life.
