Evelyn Anita Hohman

Evelyn Anita Hohman, 77, passed away on October 20, 2025, in Yuba City, CA.

Born on June 27, 1948, Evelyn dedicated 22 years to the Yuba City Unified School District as a beloved cafeteria manager, nurturing countless students with her culinary skills and warm spirit.

Evelyn was a woman of deep compassion and commitment, always prioritizing her family and friends.

She cherished her role as a caregiver, often extending her love and hospitality through delicious meals and sweet treats.

Her interests were diverse, including reading, genealogy, and gardening. Alongside her late husband, Philip Hohman Sr., she found joy and adventure in motorcycling, a passion that connected them deeply.

Her involvement in community and faith was profound. Evelyn was an active member of Faith Tabernacle in Yuba City, CA, and participated in the Crusaders for Christ Christian Motorcyclists Association.

Evelyn's legacy is carried on by her daughter, Kimberlee Arnold (Brian); son, Philip Hohman, Jr. (Rhonda); sister, Etta Cook (Lester); grandchildren, Sabrina, Nelson, Lyss, Kaedie and Joshua; great grandchildren, Ender, Alistair and Izac; many cousins; nieces; and nephews that she cherished deeply.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philip Hohman Sr.; parents, Clyde and Norberta Cropper; and brother, Clyde Cropper.

A celebration of Evelyn's life was held on November 2, 2025, where family and friends gathered to honor her memory and share stories of love and laughter.

Evelyn's final resting place is at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, where she joins her husband, Philip.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the FREED Center for Independent Living or the Christian Assistant Network, in memory of Evelyn's enduring spirit and lifelong dedication to service and community.
