Evelyn LANE Obituary
(nee Horn)
The family is saddened to announce that Evelyn Lane (Horn) passed away May 15, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Special thanks is extended to her friend, Carol Olson, for all her assistance and support over the last four years. The family also extends grateful thanks to the staff at Saskatoon City Hospital Transition Unit and the St. Paul's Hospital Palliative Care Unit. A private Funeral Service will be held next week. Donations in Evelyn's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. Condolences may be sent to [email protected]. Arrangements have been entrusted to Prairie View Crematorium.

Evelyn was a spirited personality with a wicked sense of humor.
She had a talent for organizing events and thrived on interactions with people. Her interactions were often laced with kindness. She was a real character who loved a good party. Evelyn's contagious laugh and her keen interest in people will definitely be missed. She has been relieved of much ongoing suffering.

I have many fond memories of good times spent with Evvy while in High School at Walter Murray in Saskatoon, then also in Calgary where she also lived. It was special to see her last year at the WMCI Reunion. May she rest in peace.
