Gail Ahlers

Gail Ahlers, 81, of Sutter, CA, joined our Heavenly Father on May 23, 2025.

Born in 1944 to parents Herbert and Barbara (Gammons) Roulsten, Gail was a life-long resident, where she was deeply devoted to her family, church, and beloved Sutter community.

Gail and her husband, Rallin, who passed away in 2019, after 56 years of marriage, made their home at the base of the beautiful Sutter Buttes, in the shadow of the old Sutter Cross up on the hill.

Gail loved this area and was grateful for the opportunity to raise her children here. As proud Sutter High graduates, both were happy to see their children and grandchildren attend the same school.

For over 40 years you could count on finding Gail and Rallin there every Friday night; Gail cheering in the stands, and Rallin on the field with the chain gang.

Blessed with 7 amazing grandkids, being a grandma is where she excelled. This beautiful woman, whom here we honor, taught us what it meant to provide your family with love, wisdom, and respect for dedication, grace, and service to others.

Gail is survived by her loving family, daughter, Karlyn (Darrell) Hubbart of Sutter, CA; son, Brian (Kristi) Ahlers, of IL; son, Darin (Christina) Ahlers of Sutter, CA; seven adoring grandchildren, Jason (Jasmine), Jessica and Jared Hubbart, Nikolas and Zachery Ahlers, and Emily and Ryan Ahlers; two great-granddaughters; her sister, Carol Bordeaux; and brother, Donald (Donita) Roulsten.

Gail was preceded in death by her husband, Rallin. This month marks what would have been their 62nd anniversary.

Inurnment at the Sutter Cemetery will be private under the direction of Ullrey Memorial Chapel on Friday, June 20, 2025, at 10 AM.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 21, 2025, at 11 AM at Sutter Methodist Church, in Sutter CA, the corner of Acacia Ave. and South Butte Rd.
