George Eaton Obituary

George L. Eaton passed away on February 9, 2021 after a battle with lung cancer. He was 69 years old. He was born January 20, 1952 to Charles W. Easton, Sr. and Alice B. Eaton in San Marcos, Texas.

George was a Yuba Sutter resident for 59 years. He attended Marysville High School and Yuba College. George loved to study history and the Civil War era.

His greatest joy was volunteering his time at the Mary Aaron Museum on D St., Marysville. He spent the past 10 years as a docent at the museum. He specifically enjoyed speaking with children about the history of Marysville and the museum. He loved the artist community and painted portraits and landscapes.

George could be seen walking all over Marysville and crossing the 10th Street bridge to the mall in Yuba City. He said there was great freedom in being able to walk wherever he wanted.

George is preceded in death by his parents and his sister Sharon L. Mitchell.

He is survived by siblings Charles W. Eaton, Jr. of Medford, OR and his sister Rosemary A. Davis of Yuba City. He also leaves behind a large family of cousins and nieces and nephews.

There is great sadness in losing a gentle man like George but he passed with peace, grace and dignity. We are comforted that he has gone on to his eternal inhertitance and he is in the loving arms of his Savior.
