George Ross Obituary
George Stephen Ross, Jr., age 74, of Yuba City, passed away on July 13, 2015 in the presence of his beloved family.
He was the first of five born to George and Marie Ross, on December 22, 1940. He is preceded in death by both of his parents and his sister Darlene Houston.
The longtime Yuba City resident is a graduate of Yuba City High School. He served in the United Sates Army as a paratrooper. He retired from Lucky Supermarket after working many years as a butcher.
George was a fun loving guy who always had a song in his heart to share. He was a devoted father, grandfather and brother.
George will continue to be held in the hearts of his two daughters, Amy and Angela; his three grandchildren, Destani, Kelsey and Kilee; his three sisters; his other extended family and his many good friends.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, August 1, 2015 at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church in Yuba City.
A celebration of his life will be held immediately following at the same location. All are invited to come and sing or hum or tap a toe to a song for George.

Amy and Angela I am saddened by the passing of your father. He was a kind a sweet man. He seemed as though he was always happy with a song in his heart. I was unable to attend his memorial as I was out of town. Ray thought so much of your dad. Now they are both in heaven together.

My condolences to your family. George was a good friend of my beloved brother Fred Magenheimer in his younger years. I have very fond memories of George and his buddies. They were a lot of fun and exceptional individuals.
