Glorietta Alvernaz

Glorietta (GG) Alvernaz passed away February 20, 2015 in Williams, CA at the age of 82 (even though she claimed to 65). She was born on May 26, 1932 in Santa Rita, New Mexico. She moved to Los Gatos, CA at an early age and then on to Williams, CA in 1960 where she resided for the next 54 years.

Glorietta was proud to be a rancher's wife and her fondest memories were Easter camp outs at the family's ranch in Sites. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of the Glenn-Colusa Cattle Women for over 50 years and the Williams Community Church. Glorietta was artistic, beautiful, spunky and had an amazingly witty sense of humor.

Glorietta is survived by her loving husband of 61 years Robert J. Alvernaz of Williams, CA; sons Alan Alvernaz (Karin) of Williams and John Alvernaz (Kara) of Williams; daughter Patti Turner (Doug) of Williams and her beloved grandchildren Bobby Alvernaz (Graciela), Cameron Turner, Danielle Alvernaz, Cody Alvernaz, Austin Alvernaz, Kelsie Alvernaz and Chase Alvernaz.

She was preceded in death by her son Bob Alvernaz; her parents; Joseph and Alta Baxter, and siblings Gilbert Brooks, Emileane Zoble, Wilma Hauser, Joanna Reeves and Charles Baxter.

Services are scheduled for 10:00 am Friday, February 27th at the Williams Community Church, 315 9th Street, Williams. Burial services will follow at the Williams Cemetery.
