Isabel Vasquez Obituary

Isabel Blanco Vasquez, born April 21, 2000, joined her grandparents, Pedro Torrez Vasquez Sr., Fransisco Blanco Davila, and Maria Quintana, into eternal rest on October 29, 2024.

Isabel is survived by her parent's, Pedro Torrez Vasquez Jr., and Imelda Blanco Vasquez; her four siblings, Nydia Vasquez-Pelkey, Rocio Ontiveros, Pedro T. Vasquez III, and Nadia Vasquez; her nephews and nieces, Angel Perez, Julissa Perez, Mia Pelkey, Jerimiah Rigero, Lia, Jaelyn, and Ariana Ontiveros.

Isabel was a third-year student at UC Davis, where she dedicated herself to majoring in Animal Science, with a minor in Chicano Studies. Since she was a young girl, Isabel would say, "I'm going to be a doctor for animals, and I will be Dr. Vasquez," which she nearly accomplished.

Isabel was a kind and giving soul, she would light up every room she walked into. She was unique, smart, and left great memories and imprints on everyone she came in contact with.

Isabel will be remembered as a kindhearted soul, a saint who devoted herself to rescuing, nursing, and caring for animals in need, bringing them back to health, and giving them a life full of her unending love.

Isabel was also a natural born artist, she had roots in music and art, both creating and consuming. Through her own passion and dedication, she taught herself to play the ukulele to further express her love for the art form, and bring light in to her own struggles.

In addition to performing music, she was equally talented at drawing. Her art was based on the people and topics she held closest to her heart, including portraits dedicated to her loved ones, and posters for the farm workers association.

Isabel was an advocate and protector of all, human and animal alike, and was the founder of the River Valley Gay-Straight Alliance. She founded the club to support the misrepresented and mistreated, her love spreading to all who joined.

Her club was a true display of her saintly tendencies and pure soul. To spread her love to a wider audience, she gathered her friends and loved ones to walk through downtown Yuba City, CA. Her love persists, even after passing, and is a seed of hope and kindness that grows in the hearts of all she interacted with.

We hope you can make it as we give our beloved angel her final push to the utopia she worked so hard to bring to fruition on this Earth.

In honor of Isabel, viewing services will be as follows; Viewing services from 4 PM to 8 PM, November 21, 2024, at Sierra View Chapel, 4900 Olive Ave., Yuba City, CA, 95961; Mass will be at 11 AM, November 22, 2024, with burial to follow at St. Isadore Church, 222 Clark Ave., Yuba City, CA, 95991.
