James "Bud" Waddell, Jr. Obituary

James (Bud) Waddell, Jr. Bud Waddell passed away on Nov. 30 surrounded by his loving family. He fought a valiant nine year battle with metastatic renal cell cancer. Bud was born in Lowell, MA on Aug 27, 1945. Shortly thereafter, his family moved to CA. He grew up in Sacramento. His family moved to Marysville at the beginning of his freshman year. He graduated from Sacramento State in 1968 and earned an MBA from Golden Gate University. He spent the early years of his career working for Del Monte Corp and Kaiser. The family moved to Napa in 1976 where he joined a trucking and wall board distribution company. Later he established himself as a real estate developer and spent the last 20 years of his life developing small residential subdivisions. Bud was a loving husband, a dedicated father and a doting grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Linda, his two sons Brandon and Justin (Khrystyn) and his grandson Jackson. Bud was a caring and generous friend to many and will be greatly missed. A celebration of Bud's life planned for Dec. 19 from 3-7pm at the family home, 9 Patriot Ln, Napa. The family requests contributions in Bud's memory be made to Napa Valley Hospice or the American Cancer Society. Send & Read Condolences at www.appealdemocrat.com

Linda, I am keeping you in my heart and prayers this week of Christmas and will say a special prayer for you at our Christmas Eve Candlelight Service. I am recalling fond memories of our growing up around the corner from each other.. I was on 6th Street on the alley across from Brian Rockholt. We have been friends for many years. We moved to 6th Street from Yuba City, when I was in the 2nd grade. Love to you and your family at this very sad and diffcult time.
