Jessie Tracy Obituary

Jessie (Jessica) Estelle Tracy 94, of Yuba City passed away June 27, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 20, 1919 Fordland, Missouri. Jessica was a longtime Yuba-Sutter resident.

Jessica was a member of the Yuba City First United Methodist Church where she also served as past president of the United Methodist Women, She also volunteered numerous other organizations including serving as past president of the Children's Home Society of California, member of the Sutter Buttes Garden Club. Chair of the Christian Women's Club Bible Study Committee, and Secretary of the Sutter County Grand Jury. Jessica enjoyed conducting fashion shows, theater, organizing charity events, gardening, and spending time with her family.

Jessica is survived by her husband of 62 years Wilbur Lee Tracy of Yuba City, sons Mark Lee Tracy of Sunnyvale & Charles Arthur Tracy (Ruth) of Vancouver, WA, grandchildren Eric Tracy & Lisa Tracy, & nieces and nephews Janie von Wolfseck, Randy Wester & Sharon Roberts.

She is preceded in death by her brother George Lee Hawkins & sister Alma Wester.

Visitation will be Monday, July 1, 2013 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Ullrey Memorial Chapel 817 Almond Street Yuba City. Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at the Yuba City First United Methodist Church 3101 Colusa Hwy Yuba City. Pastor Lois Black will be officiating. Burial to follow at Sutter Cemetery in Sutter.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers can be made in Jessica's name to the Yuba City First United Methodist Church 3101 Colusa Hwy, Yuba City, CA 95993.

I was saddened to learn of Jessica's passing. We were Children's Home Society Sisters. She was a true lady with great integrity and fought a very courageous battle. May God wrap his arms around you and bring peace into your hearts.
