Kenneth Scott Obituary

January 12, 1932 - August 1, 2018

Kenneth, 86, passed away after a very short battle with lung cancer. He was born at home in a tiny town, Anson, Texas, and moved to Ventura, California, at the age 8.

He was in the Air Force and went to Korea and when he returned home he married Allyn Mauchauken, his wife of 50 years.

He had 4 children: Greg Scott of Marysville; Tami Davis and (son-in-law, Randy Davis) of Yuba City; Jaimie Scott of Sacramento; and Bob Scott and (daughter-in-law, Christy Scott); whom just recently moved to Alaska; grandchildren: Laurie Porter of Yuba City; and Tiona and Ariona Scott of Reno; great-grandchildren: Alex and Vance Porter.

Ken was a fire fighter all his adult life and was the Fire Chief at Beale Air Force Base for 10 years. Then he and Allyn opened up a little restaurant in Marysville called the "Hot Dog Junction". After about 10 years they decided to retire again, but they felt that the kids in Marysville still needed to have a place to go and be safe so they built the Allyn Scott Community youth center.

Allyn Scott passed away 15 years ago and of course Ken could not sit still. He joined the Marysville Sons of Retirement and Kiwanis Club, and if that wasn't enough, he would help his daughter with her bakery "Cupcake Magic". You could find him there twice a day.

He loved fishing with his boys and traveling with his daughter and son-n-law. He loved to play golf, poker and he truly enjoyed family dinners.

My Dad was a true a gentlemen. He was the nicest, kindest man you will ever meet. Everyone fell in love with him.His Memorial Service will be: Sunday, August 12th, 2018, 11:00 AM, at a private home at 2911 Railroad Ave., Yuba City, CA. There is plenty of room for EVERYONE to come, if you have any questions please contact (daughter) Tami Davis at 530-592-9121.

I'm so sorry we were not in the area or I would have been there. Both of your parents were hero's and my brother thought so much of them both. I'm glad I got to meet your dad. Hugs and prayers, Sharon
