Kyle Joseph Watson, 18, of Marysville, passed away surrounded by family and friends on September 5, 2021, at Enloe Medical Center in Chico, California.
Kyle was born May 16, 2003, in Yuba City to Tracey and Trinity Watson. He was a loving son, grandson, brother, uncle, cousin, boyfriend, teammate, and friend.
Kyle was a gifted athlete, who had an infectious and sometimes mischievous smile that would light up any room he walked in. The light in his eyes brought joy, love, and much laughter to those around him. At only 18, it is amazing that he was able to affect so many as he walked in love. He could often be found performing random acts of kindness for those around him. He would give his food to the homeless and hungry, picked up stray animals, protected kids being bullied, and pulled shy kids out of their shells and helped them shine.
Kyle loved the Lord and was attending bible studies and church at Hope Point Nazarene. He also loved his family, gathering with friends, living life to the fullest, and taking time to enjoy the little things.
Kyle attended Lone Tree and Britain Elementary School, Bear River Middle School and was a 2021 Sutter Union High School graduate. Kyle loved playing football and had played as a Wheatland Jr. Pirate, Sutter Jr. Husky and was an all-star athlete for Sutter Union High School. He received a scholarship to attended Iowa Wesleyan University, which he decided to decline due to a hip injury but, planned to return to Butte College in the spring to continue his football career. In addition to football, Kyle also loved basketball, baseball, lacrosse, bowling, soccer, and fishing, and hunting.
Kyle had recently joined the Local 185 Laborers Union, working as an apprentice with All American Construction Company, and was loving it on the paving crew.
Kyle is survived by his mother, Tracey Watson; father, Trinity Watson; grandfather, Michael Lawrence; brother, Michael Watson; sister, Emily Holcomb and Mitch Holcomb; brother, Ryan, Morgan and Troy Staas; brother, Gary, Carmel, Meila and Drayden Lloyd; brother, Trinity Watson Jr.; brother, Beau and Arlene Loke; girlfriend, Madison Stokes and family. Kyle was reunited with his grandmother Donna Lawrence last Sunday.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave, Sutter, CA.
The Celebration of Kyle's Life with be held at Hope Point Nazarene Church on Saturday, September 18, 2021, at 6 pm, 600 North George Washington Blvd., Yuba City.
