Martha Armocido Obituary
Martha Ann (Emery) Armocido, born June 18, 1933, in Princeton, CA, passed away on September 14, 2022, in Chico, CA, at the age of 89.
Martha spent her first 29 years in the Princeton/Colusa area with a couple of years in Monterey. In 1961, moved to Yuba City, where they raised their four children, and she lived for 25 years working in various jobs: Oji Brothers Farms on a tomato harvester; seasonal work at Del Monte Cannery; Montgomery Wards; 7-Eleven; and Sunsweet Growers. In 1988, she was hired as a Custodian for Chico State and eventually moved to Chico where she lived until she passed. She was a sports mom/grandma, loved to read, always had a cactus or succulent garden and enjoyed making jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her sons, Chuck of Yuba City, CA, and Mike (Cindy) of Mountain Home, AR; a daughter, Peggy of Chico, CA; three grandchildren, Tiffany, Justin (Shauna) of Mountain Home AR, and Nicholas (Brittny) of Eldorado Hills CA; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
Martha is preceded in death by her beloved son, Steven; parents, Ben and Sylvia Emery; and brothers, John, Dan, Bill, Wally, and Jim.
A Celebration of Life will be held on March 11, 2023, at 12:00PM at the Chico Women's Club, 592 E. 3rd St., Chico, CA.
