Mike and I were friends while students at Franklin Elementary School. In eighth grade, we both signed up for a series of dance lessons at Brittan Elementary School in Sutter. We were especially good at the jitterbug. After each dance lesson, we´d walk to the local hamburger stand to have a cherry Cola. We went on to separate high schools and lost track of each other. It is so good to read that he had a wonderful, fulfilling life but I am so sad to hear he has passed. I´m not surprised to read he had such a meaningful impact on so many lives. That´s who he was.
