Richard Salado Obituary

Richard M. Salado, a husband, father, and World War II U.S. Army veteran, passed away on June 21, 2023, at the age of 99.

Born June 1924, in Hawaii, he was the son of migrant parents from southern Spain. He proudly served his country in the South Pacific including New Guinea, Philippines and Japan in the Engineers Boat and Shore Regiment. He was honorably discharged as a Technician 5th Grade after the war.

His ambition to be self-employed allowed him to become a successful businessman. He provided a comfortable life for his family while working as a meat cutter in the San Jose area. He moved his family to Yuba City in 1976. Richard and wife, Beverly, had four children: Candice (now deceased), Richard, Shirley, and Donna Celeste.

Richard will be missed by his dedicated and supportive wife of 70 years, his children, and grandchildren. His family will carry his memory as a man of principle and convictions.

Interment will be at Sutter Cemetery on Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 10am.
