I can't believe it's been almost a year, especially when there are times that it doesn't even seem real. You would be so proud of Lawanda, Allena and Ian. Lawanda has been so strong for your children including Shelly and Brea. You had a great love for Lawanda and your kids. The kids talk and think about you all the time. I should have told you what a great dad you were to Allena and Ian, but I thought there would be time. Lawanda makes sure to talk to the kids about you, and to remember all the good times. The kids have wonderful memories that they share with us when looking through photos; going fishing, playing ball, just being together. We will continue to look after Lawanda and the kids because that is what family does. I know you are watching from up above, there have been plenty of signs from you. For you live in the hearts of 3 very precious people. Watch over and keep safe the ones you love.

Rick, your like a brother and father to me. I miss you man. The last baseball season wasn't the same with out you but i know your sittin upstairs with the big man watching it all from a lounge chair. Its been almost a year and it doesn't seem right that Ian and Allena and Lawanda have to go on with out you. We all miss you so much. i think about you everyday i go out and start up the truck. I wish you were still with us here. I love you man your the best friend a guy could ask for.

Uncle Ricky, family dinners aren't the same without you there. Remember all the times we had to hide from grandma and grandpa to smoke? I miss those times and all that you did for us; doing mom's yard, taking my boys fishing with you and always willing to do much more. You were always there for us and now we will always be there for Aunt Lawanda, Allena and Ian. Thank you for not judging and always supporting. Rest in peace and Gods arms Uncle Ricky.

Ricky, it's been almost a year that you have left and gone to live with our lord. I know that he must of needed you. You would be so proud of Lawanda, Allena and Ian. They miss you so much and always tell stories of your life together and all of the fun times you all had. You have left a wonderful legacy and many memories for all who knew and loved you. Lawanda, always know that you have your husband, your friend, your love with you and watching over you. Allena and Ian remember that you carry your daddy in your heart and that he is watching and protecting you from above. We all miss you Ricky and know that you are watching over all of your loved ones. Rest easy my brother.

I've always known you to be a sweet, loving, and gentle man (always willing to forgive). Although wealth and earthly goods have never been your portion; the treasure you left behind is worth far more than worldly possessions. The love you shared with family and friends was priceless. This kind of heritage is eternal; one your wife, kids, mom, dad, brothers, sisters, and all who loved you, will remember forever. June and Chuck...your love for your son will always be in your hearts. I know the peace you will find will be in our Lord and Savior. He and Anna are telling us we dont want to come back...you come to us. no more hurting, sadness, or sorry. That is our promise. I remember Rick's great smile and big eyes..especially when he wanted to be picked up as a child. What precious memories he left us.

We'll never forget how much fun you were Uncle Rick!! I remember one day you surprised me and picked me up from Lindhurst in your monster blue truck.. I jumped in and soon as I shut the door you put in your favorite song at the time "Born in the USA" of which you sang at the top of your lungs all the way down Olivehurst ave!!luckily nobody saw me because I was plastered to the floor board with embarrassment! You are so strong and so, so loving. You are the definition of compassion, and an inspiration to me through these trying times. The service in Oroville was beautiful, and the reception was filled with funny stories and moments, and most of all, love. And as everyone knows, Rick loved you with all of his heart. I'm certain there was nothing more important to Rick than you and his children (Shelly, Bree, Krista, Allena and Ian.)And, of course, fishing and hunting follow closely in second!
