Sally Timmons

Sally Timmons (McClendon), 91, passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025, at Summerfield Assisted Living Memory Care, Yuba City, CA.

She was born on July 30, 1934, of Frank McClendon and Carolyn Cowell, in Durrant, OK. Sally lived a long and full life marked by dedication to her family, hard work, and a love for the simple joys of life.

Sally began her working years in the Bay Area, where she was employed by the telephone company.

After relocating to the Yuba-Sutter area, she continued her industrious spirit by working at several department stores and Harter's Cannery.

Her strong work ethic and commitment culminated in a fifteen year long career at Sunsweet Growers, from which she retired.

She was a devoted mother to her daughters, Cynthia Bingham, and Rhonda Timmons; and son, Jeff Timmons (Lori).

She was also a proud grandmother to Nicole Kadel and Sean Timmons; great-grandmother to Gaven Bingham (Brittany), Aiden Bingham, and Lyric Bingham; and a great-great-grandmother to Gaven Jr., and Mateo Bingham.

Sally's family was central to her life, and she cherished every generation deeply.

Sally is remembered by her twin brother, Jesse McClendon; sister, Beverly McClendon; and numerous nieces and nephews, who were part of her extended circle of love.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Hartwell Timmons; and son, Keith Timmons.

A woman of many interests, Sally found joy in cooking, an art for which she was especially known, and took pride in preparing meals that brought people together.

She loved gardening, camping, being outdoors, and spending time with her dogs and cats. In earlier years, she enjoyed bowling as her favorite pastime.

Her connection to nature and animals reflected her warm spirit and appreciation for life's simple pleasures.

Sally was a member of St. Isidore Catholic Church in Yuba City, CA, where she found spiritual community and comfort throughout the years.

Her legacy lives on through the generations of family who carry forward the values she embodied, resilience, kindness, and devotion. May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.

A Viewing will be held on January 10, 2026, from 9 AM to 10 AM, with funeral service following at Ullrey Memorial Chapel, 817 Almond St., Yuba City, CA. Graveside Services will then follow from 11:30 AM to 12 PM, at Sutter Cemetery, 7200 Butte Ave., Sutter, CA.
