BRIDGET ANN CAPRARO

BRIDGET ANN CAPRARO Bridget Ann Capraro, age 82, passed away on April 18, 2025, in Southern Oklahoma. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, May 17, 2025, in The Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest with Dr. Alton Fannin officiating. Bridget was born on July 17, 1942, to Cecil Van Orden and Anna B. (Paulsen) Van Orden in Chicago, Illinois. She attended Otis grade school and graduated from Wells High School in Chicago. Bridget married Vincent Capraro on February 22, 1961. Eventually the pursuit of entrepreneurship and the warmer weather of the South drew them to Ardmore, Oklahoma where Vince and Bridget opened Ardmore's first McDonalds. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Ardmore. Through the years, Bridget lived in Illinois, Massachusetts, Michigan and Florida before coming back to the Ardmore area. Her work at Sunshine Industries and Celebrate Recovery touch numerous lives for members of our community in Southern Oklahoma. She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil Van Orden, Anna (Patrick) Phelan, husband, Vincent Capraro, and brothers, Jim Van Orden and John Phelan. Bridget is survived by her children; Christopher, Shari, and Shannon Capraro and his wife, Keri. Brother, Patrick Phelan and sister, Peggy Berry and her husband, Dan. Grandchildren; Anthony, Valarie, Selena, Sabrina, Jacci Dawn, Jody, C.J., Christian and Abbie. Also, numerous lovely great and great-great grandchildren.
