PAULA SHARLENE JONES Paula Sharlene Jones of Ardmore, ok passed away in her home Thursday August 17, 2023 at the age of 83. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am Tuesday Aug 22nd at the Craddock Funeral home 52 S commerce St, Ardmore Ok with Dr Alton Fannin officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial park. A visitation for the woman many loved will be Monday, August 21, 2023 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Craddock Funeral Home. Paula was born in Shawnee OK on November 30, 1939 to Ruthie Arlene (Thomas) and Buck Alfrey. Paula graduated from Shidler High school class of 1958. Paula loved her family and enjoyed a busy wonderful full life. Paula enjoyed spending time with family playing wahoo, rook, poker and even playdoh with the very little ones. Paula enjoyed spending time at Blue River camping and fishing. Paula was a wonderful cook and hosted every Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner with a lavish traditional meal in her home. If any of Paula's children, grandchildren or great grandchildren came to visit, she would immediately want to cook something, and always had plenty of ice cream, Dr Pepper and popsicles on hand. Paula was a member of First Baptist Church where she Re-dedicated her life with baptism in 2013. From her first marriage to Lester Priest came four children, Leslie, Tina, Carlene and Melissa. In January of 2000, she married her long-time love and high school sweetheart, Lowell "Benny" Jones. Paula is survived by her four daughters, Leslie Gillaspy and husband James of Lone Grove, Tina Callender and husband Scott of Ardmore, Carlene Henderson and husband James of Ada, Melissa Johnson of Ardmore. Other survivors are her grandchildren: David Gillaspy, Jennifer (Bradford) Crowder, Tasha (Jeremiah) Walters, Brittany (Derek) Morgan, Brandon Arnold, Paul Callender, Andrea Arnold, Carlee (Gary) Cox, Parker Henderson, Taryn (Bradley) Taylor, Tori (Dee) Gregory, Kaylea Gillaspy, Catherine (Lance) Blair, and Hannah (Jericho) Caminero. Great grandchildren, Baylor, Walker, Audrey, Finlee Morgan, Titus, baby Taylor, Camden Cox, Axton, Avenly, Annora Senter, Baby Baker, Addilyn, Hadley, Briar Arnold, Delilah, Lincoln Blair, Daniel Walters, bonus great-granddaughter Kamryn Riley; as well as extended family members, many cherished friends, her best friend of 48 years, Linda Ratcliffe, friend Laurel Turley, many caregivers and her caregiver and friend, Irma Morales. Paula was preceded in death by her forever love, Lowell "Benny" Jones; her parents, Ruthie Arlene Moyer and Buck Alfrey; and brother Jerry Michael Alfrey.
