Born September 26, 1942 to the late Frederick Jacob Reinke, Jr. and Rose Mary Crane Reinke, at El Campo, Texas. She passed from this life on Tuesday, May 27, 2025. In addition to her parents, Priscilla was preceded in death by a brother, Baxton Earl Reinke.
As a child, Priscilla lived and traveled throughout the oilfields of Texas, Oklahoma, and Venezuela with her parents and three brothers. Her father was a 38-year employee of Texaco, Inc. She was a graduate of John Marshall High School, Class of 1961, Central State College in Edmond, Oklahoma (Bachelor of Education, 1964), and Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas (Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BSN RN, 1983).
Priscilla married Capt. Jose Antonio Ibarra-Rivera in 1967. They moved to Willemstad, Curacao in the Netherland Antilles as Tony began his aviation career. While life does not always go as planned, the marriage gave Priscilla and Tony their two children, Tina and Tony. They became her pride and purpose. She loved being a mom. Together they became a team of three and lived life together as they changed cities and grew into their own. Even with two young children, a fiercely independent spirit, Priscilla decided to follow her passion and took on nursing school, graduating from Texas Woman's University. She worked for Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Her areas of interest were Labor and Delivery, Oncology, Psychiatry, and her favorite the Emergency Department. The next phase of her nursing career led her to Ardmore, Oklahoma and Mercy Hospital. She and her children returned to Ardmore to be near Priscilla's parents who operated a cattle ranch in Springer, Oklahoma. Priscilla moved into different roles within case management. In 2004, the final chapter of her nursing career brought her back to Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City where she continued to work in case management. In 2012, Priscilla retired with over 20 years of service to the Mercy Hospital System.
A member of the Texas Board of Nursing and Oklahoma Board of Nursing, Priscilla was also a member of the 1961 pledge class of Alpha Gamma Delta Epsilon Nu Chapter at Central State College, Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 70, the daughters of the American Revolution, and the Descendants of the Siege of Bexar.
