GARY BARNES Obituary

GARY BARNES Gary G. Barnes, a resident of AuGres, Michigan, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, September 8, 2025 under the loving care of his family and hospice, age 65 years. Gary was born in Saginaw, Michigan on July 18, 1960 to Glenn and Nancy (Golz) Barnes. He worked primarily as a general contractor during his working career and he enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children. He received a t-shirt and wore it proudly that said "If Gary can't fix it, nobody can!" Gary is survived by his wife, Patsy Barnes; his loving mother, Nancy Barnes; 3 children, Wesley, Kara, and Jenna; grandchildren, Carter, MaKayla, Isaac, and Gauge; 2 brothers, Michael (Sue) Barnes and family, and David Barnes and family; 1 aunt, 2 cousins, 1 niece, 3 nephews, 3 step children, and 2 step grandchildren. Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and his family will celebrate his life through a memorial service at the Buresh Funeral Home in AuGres on Saturday, September 20, 2025 at 12:00 PM with Steve Gingerich officiating. His family will welcome friends at the funeral home on Saturday for a time of gathering from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to either the American Lung Association or to the American Heart Association.
