Alexis Van Bochove Obituary
HAWARDEN, IOWA ~ Alexis Van Bochove, 4, passed away on Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Hawarden Regional Healthcare Hospital from a brain tumor (DIPG).
Funeral Service will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hawarden with Rev. Todd Bunge officiating. Burial will follow in the Grace Hill Cemetery. A Prayer Service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, followed by visitation with the family until 4:30 p.m. at the Trinity Lutheran Church. The Porter Funeral Home in Hawarden is assisting the family. Alexis Johanna Van Bochove was born February 11, 2010 in Orange City, Iowa, the daughter of Casey and Amanda (Richter) Van Bochove. She was baptized May 1, 2010 at the Trinity Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sprint car racing especially Justin Henderson XOXO, helping Rod work on Sammy's go-kart, playing with Play-Doh, the movie "Frozen", and the color blue. Alexis loved working with her dad in the garage and coloring and cleaning house with her mom.
She liked to look at pictures on Grandpa Roger's computer, baking with Grandma Audree and singing rhymes with Grandma Jan.
She is lovingly remembered by her parents, Casey and Amanda; sisters, Lindsey and Destiny; grandparents, Janet Van Bochove, Adrian Van Bochove, Roger and Audree Olson; great-grandparents, Margaret Richter, Smoke and Sharon Van Noort; and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Richard Richter; great-grandfather, Jack Richter; great-grandparents, Case and Johanna Van Bochove; and aunt, Annette Van Bochove.

I was just wondering about Alexis and if she got our cards. Then I saw the sad news that she has passed. I have no words that can ease your pain. I am so sorry for this to happen. You are in my thoughts and prayers.
