Carol Ramstad Obituary
Crooks - Carol Ann Ramstad, age 75, of Crooks, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2019, at Trail Ridge in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 AM Monday, April 29, 2019, at First Lutheran Church, Colton. Visitation will be from 3-5:00 PM Sunday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Chapel, Colton, with a Prayer Service and Time of Sharing beginning at 4:30 PM.
Mary Carol Ann (Carol) Ramstad was born in Sioux Falls, SD March 25th, 1944 to parents Earl & Jenne (Johnson) Dickson. She was raised in Sioux Falls. Carol married Clifford Ramstad on November 10th, 1962. They had two children Kim (Garry) Rempfer, Bridgewater, SD and Tim (Fay) Ramstad, Colton, SD. Carol had five grandchildren, Eric (Karen) Varns, Kelsey Ramstad, Andrew Varns, Nicole (Tyler) Backus, and Hanna Ramstad, and two great-grandchildren, Emily Varns & Jacob Varns.
During her career, Carol worked as a certified florist at Anderson Flower Shop as well as helping her husband and son with the family construction business. Carol was an avid volunteer and divided her time between Sioux Valley Hospital, where she was a member of the auxiliary, and First Lutheran Church in Colton, where she was a member. In her free time, Carol enjoyed painting and crafting, and especially spending time with her grandkids. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She thoroughly enjoyed decorating and spending time with her family.
Carol is survived by her husband Cliff, their children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her sister Betty Lamp. She is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Jim & Allen Dickson.
